It’s Friday! Many of us are going out for breakfast, brunch, dinner or just a drink. Since we work hard and can’t spend much time with our beloved dogs daily, we want to take them with us. Today we offer you a selection of the best bars or dog-friendly cafes in New York City, both for the most authentic New Yorkers and for all those who travel with their four-legged companions to the Big Apple. 🍕☕️🗽🌃
✔️Barking Dog Luncheonette, Upper East Side, 1453 York Ave. A well-known place in the neighborhood where both your little ones can enjoy a wonderful children’s menu, as your dogs can expand at ease, as they have seats and a fountain exclusively for them.
✔️Fred’s Upper West Side, Upper West Side, 473 Amsterdam Ave. the restaurant owes its name to its pet, a black Labrador female. Known for its Sunday brunch, as we enter, we find its walls decorated with photographs of the customers’ dogs; even though they have to stay outside. Part of the proceeds goes to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, an internationally accredited non-profit guide dog school.
✔️ Shake Shack, multiple locations throughout NYC. It’s popular for its burgers, fries and, of course, its smoothies. Virtually every Shake Shack has dog seats in their respective yards. Within the menu they have for them, we find doggie sundae and “bag o’ biscuits”.
✔️ DBA East Village., East Village, 41 First Ave. This bar does not have a menu as such, but you can bring food to take away or order. This can be accompanied by its selection of beer and whiskey cured intelligently. Throughout the bar, dogs are welcome; with a wonderful backyard perfect for dog gatherings.
✔️ The Grey Dog, Chelsea, Union Square, West Village and Nolita. They have everything from breakfast options to classic hamburgers, a delicious coffee, and homemade granola, which you can take home with you. In addition to decorating the walls with canine art, dogs are allowed in the outdoor resting areas.
